I was going to write something involved, but I decided not to on account of my own current personal loss. So I decided to just post this really depressing link, and some videos here instead. This is for the ones we lost, and the millions children starving to death each year. The first video is Bea Bea Arthur singing in the horrendous Star Wars Holiday Special.

Don La Fontaine died in 2008, but I'm going to include him just because he will always be one of my greatest inspirations.

Brittany Murphy Remembered in Windows Wallpaper
Brittany Murphy was very talented, and few know exactly how talented Brittany was. I was really sad to see so much talent go to waste, and in the search for some closure, I found a wallpaper pack of Brittany Murphy on an old DVD that I burned years ago.
If you download it, it's installed exactly where it needs to go.
For those of you who didn't know, Brittany Murphy was also the voice of Luanne on the Mike Judge show "King of the Hill" for the entire show history. She was a lovely and talented, multifaceted actress. She will be missed.

MICHAELCRY.COM NEWS
I'm going to be splitting the blogging section into various categories so that people can know what they are going to be reading. I have a variety of topics that I'm interested in right now, and I think that if I organize them efficiently, it'll be easier for me to write about each topic, and probably even have a few people contribute. If anyone has comments or suggestion, it would be cool to have them considered by the MICHAELCRY.COM team.
Currently,I'm thinking of writing a few:
Michael's Blog
Movie Reviews
Female Modeling Pics
Science and History

James Cameron Film Avatar
I wasn't planning to write this kind of article at all, but last night I was very pleased with the new James Cameron film "Avatar". Cameron has been known for his use of war, and strong females in his films, and plays upon the dynamics, and politics of those elements very well. During "Avatar", I was particularly impressed by the choice of color in the scenes, (which are extremely beautiful) and the deep sense of culture that exists in films. There's no painful, or irritating exposition explaining the culture of the native creatures. It's done more in a way that you kind of just live it with them. I enjoyed the much more imaginative way that they approach a general amount of things in this story. All of the characters in the movie are compelling, likable, or at least interesting.
One of the coolest things about James Cameron's "Avatar" however, is that even though they get close to, and touch on some of the great movie cliche plot points, they cunningly veer off and away from the need to beat those things into the ground. The movie stays true to it's own message, making it difficult for me to write about without exposing key elements of the plot. =)
Basically this movie really rocks. If you liked "Fern Gully" as a kid, you'll love this movie because it's kind of like "Fern Gully" times 20 with even better colors, and special effects.

Bizarre Deaths of History PT. II
Death is often called, "The Great Equalizer". Many people spend millions of dollars each year to turn back the clock. We've even seen a few people frozen after death, in the hopes that cures, and resurrection advancements will be made someday. The old world however, saw no such escapes. Life was hard, and full of irony.
He are a few of those cases:
Sigurd the Mighty 892 AD
Sigurd of Orkney found himself victorious in battle. After presumably removing his enemies head, he strapped the head of his foe to his horse's saddle. During the long trip, the tooth of his fallen enemy rubbed against him as he rode. The rubbing action caused the infection that killed him.
BEYOND THE GRAVE WIN!
Humphrey de Bohun, 4th Earl of Hereford 1322 AD
Humphrey was fatally speared through the buthole by a pikeman hiding under the bridge during the Battle of Boroughbridge. The guy basically stirred his guts like Top Ramen. Only instead of Tom Ramen, it was his intestines, and instead of using a fork, or chop sticks, the pikeman used a spear. That's a nasty way to go.
Edward II of England 1327 AD
Yet another unlucky guy , King Edward part 2 found himself in a jail cell getting violated with a red hot poker.
The worst part was that he was put there by his wife, who was having an affair. He must have thought, "Where did I go wrong?"
It's like history took all of it's execution notes from the diagram of Chinese Hell.
George Plantagenet 1478 AD
Duke of Clarence is the only guy on this list today who did it in style. He was executed by drowning in a barrel of Malmsey wine at his own request. That is dedication to your alcoholism at it's finest.
ALCOHOL FAIL, or WIN? ... If it's a movie that stars Nicolas Cage, then maybe.

Bizarre Deaths of History PT. I
Throughout history, many people have been subjected to various injustice, and torture is one of these. People of the old world found delight in controlling, humiliating, and ultimately killing his enemies. Here are some of the examples I found that are worth mention.
Tiger Woods is not on this list.
Saint Peter 65 - 67 AD
When about to be crucified, Peter felt unworthy of being crucified the normal way, and instead made the massively regrettable decision to be crucified upside down, inadvertently giving 10's upon 100's of death, and black metal bands symbols to use on their album covers.
Here is a screen shot of a death metal site.
Seriously guys?
Marcus Licinius Crassus 53 BC
It is rumored that Marcus was executed via the Parthians, after losing a battle by being forced to drink a cup, or goblet of molten gold. Yikes, that's one golden shower even the most enthusiastic of fetish lovers would probably avoid.
Herod the Great 4 BC
Herod suffered from sores, dorsiflexion, convulsions, labored breathing, and a rotten cock and balls that were riddled with tons of worms. It appears that history hasn't really ever known what the exact cause of his condition was, but that might be something old fashioned folk would refer to, as GOD HATES YOU.
Mithridates 401 BC
Sentenced to death by Scaphism. This was often done of sealing a person into a structure made of two boats that float on a stagnant body of water, but leaving the victim's hands, feet and head exposed to the elements. They were fed milk and honey to give them diarrhea, and where covered in honey to attract insects that would feed on them. They would also continue feed the individual to prevent them from dying. It was said that Mithridates survived the torture for 17 days. They probably could have knocked his death time down by a whole week if they had been playing a Lindsay Lohan record inside the boats.

Norway's Spiral Light, a sign from God? Aliens?
Okay, so is this a super villain, or a science experiment? A sign from god maybe? What the fuck is that thing? Seriously. Is it aliens? What the fuck is that thing? Does anyone have a clue? I'd love to hear some theories on that. Personally, I'm hoping that a guy in a purple suit is behind this, because just about anything else for the answer is probably a bad thing.
